Prezzo Witham, This place was formally known as Martins Newsagent. I was invited there by some friends whom frequently visited the restaurant since it opened in Witham a year ago, they are very impressed by the service, delectable food , ambience and the tasteful décor.

I held my opinion until I got to the restaurant; we parked behind the restaurant as parking was all full on the side roads. As we entered the restaurant, I was immediately amazed by the look and the feel of the restaurant. It had certainly gone through several hundreds of thousands in transformation. It looked fresh with tasteful décor that wasn’t a pain to the eyes as some restaurants are these days.

As we booked in advance, we were greeted by two lovely waitresses at the front door; whom seem to straight away recognise my friends. They gave a little peck on the cheek and asked us to wait just a few minutes as even the reception area was packed with dinners, amazed I was this some 140 sitter restaurant in Witham completely packed out! I was even more surprised at the speed of service and waiting time between ordering drinks, starters and the main meal.

It was so smooth; it took me by total surprise how well the front and the kitchen staff manage this restaurant so well.

The food we ordered appetisers; mixed freshly baked assorted bread with fresh olives, marinated olives and main course: Salmon Fillet with fresh broccoli, French beans with Saffron sauce and grilled chicken breast fillet with fresh baby spinach on a bed of sauce. Followed by Tiramisu Italian dessert, cheese cake and cappuccino coffee and ground coffee.

Wow is all that can be said, everything was attention to detail even though this fully packed restaurant had over 140 dinners!

I will be writing to THE AAA GUIDE OF EXCELLENCE for an award to this beautiful restaurant, waitresses and the chefs for serving up “Simply gastronomic food”!
